The systems rely on reality based training with a particularly strong emphasis on stress testing. Since there are no complicated techniques or kata to master progress is rapid. The idea underpinning ICS is that simplicity is genius.

Whenever possible you should always aim to disengage and escape any potentially threatening confrontation. However, this is not always possible so you need to learn how to take control and end the confrontation as quickly as possible. There are no rules in ICS - anything goes - just as it would in a violent street attack - so you will learn how to utilise your surroundings to the best advantage.
